Rise Against

Although they may only be third on my Top 10 Bands list, I've decided to dedicate a WHOLE post to them. However extreme that may be, I think they (the band) deserve it, and although I'm sure there are thousands of other fan pages, they deserve another. They are a melodic-punk group from Chicago. I was introduced to them by Guitar Hero 3 with this song: Prayer Of The Refugee


After playing through it a couple dozen times I decided to pick up there CD "The Sufferer and the Witness". I love it. Instant Happiness, yay. After about a week, I NEEDED more so I went and got Siren Song Of The Counter Culture. More Happiness. It was on that CD where I discovered this gem.


I couldn't stop listening. Augh, it was too good. The Lyrics, the melody, the chorus, the guitar and voice. Everything is excellent. It was musical excellence. Seriously, I cannot get enough.

But their most recognizable song is probably Swing Life Away.


More musical excellence. So I suggest getting their latest two albums. They are releasing a new album this year, which could not make me any happier.

The Opposite Of The Last Post

So at the moment I am supposed to be writing a 1500 word essay for history, more specifically Canadian history. Now I'm not saying I don't like history, but Canadian history sucks. It's boring. It's plain. I'm glad I'm Canadian but I really wish I could write about the 300 spartans, or World War 2 or Technological Warfare through the ages. I can't. Because the school system sucks. So since I feel like procrastinating even more, and in lieu of ftw, here are things that are not ftw:

- English is not ftw (I mean Grade 12 IB english)
- The School System is not ftw
- The Shits are not ftw

Well, it's a rather small list but I don't feel like thinking at the moment. The list of things that are not yay will continually grow as I think of more.
